Using DacEasy Payroll to its Fullest
I'm the legal administrator in a midsize law firm in Las Vegas.
I've been using DacEasy Accounting and Payroll for four years and
I wanted to say I'm very happy with your programs and your service
technicians. Not being a computer wizard, I've obtained assistance
from your technicians as well as from one of your certified consultants
in Las Vegas. They have always been helpful and courteous.
I use DacEasy Payroll to its fullest. We have one department for
salaried employees and one department for hourly employees. When
I run Payroll, I use the Entry screen to enter the hourly time.
The Time Card Screen simplifies the calculation for daily variations
of time. Prior to this feature, I calculated the time manually.
DacEasy calculates Payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
and I print the Payroll Register to verify my entries. I run the
Payroll checks and use the information on the report to prepare
my tax deposit to the bank.
Another handy feature is the notes section on the Edit Employee
screen. I can enter notes pertaining to that particular employee
and they're available for future updates. Since we are a law firm,
we only use certain modules of DacEasy Accounting. We transfer our
legal fees from our clients' trust account to the Cash Receipts
module. I handle our accounts payable through the Cash Payments
module. A GL number is assigned to those companies with whom we
do business and the DacEasy simple chart of accounts was modified
to fit our needs. Paying bills is now a simple process. After ending
each month, it only takes a small amount of time to reconcile the
bank statement and run financial statements and the Account Activity
report.
By the way, I always read your Solutions newsletter shortly after
its arrival and have found the end-of-year issue extremely helpful.
